Beautiful plaster bust of the goddess Flora with a serene facial expression.
Flora is the Roman goddess of flowers and the season of spring. Though she was a relatively minor figure in Roman mythology, she was important at the coming of springtime and had her own festival, the Floralia, between April 28 and May 3. In the Renaissance she was far more important than she was in ancient Rome.
Several minor damage due to age and the fragilitiy of the plaster.
