Burmese Buddha, from the Mandalay period (1853-1948), probably first half of the 20th Century. Made of gilded wood, inlaid with glass ornaments. Inlaid eyes. The Buddha is standing on a lotus base and raised on a small wooden base (18x19 cm - H 16 cm).
A separate, beige painted, wooden plinth is included in the price (39,5 x 39,5 cm - H 47,5 cm)
Mandalay Buddhas are characterised by their youthful and serene faces and by their beautiful robes with decorative elements such as mirror glass inlays. They are often gilded.
