Beautiful monumental work, probably by Georges Estelle Albert Lebrun - Rodenbach, born in Ghent in 1894 and died in Knokke in 1973. He was the son of Emile Jules Lebrun and Marie Louise Rodenbach, both painters. He was a pupil of the Ghent Art Academy. In 1930 Lebrun married the English painter Jocelyn May. At the end of the thirties they moved to Knokke.
His work is part of the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent.
